Teresa Kay Harmon arrested after throwing illegal drugs out of a window during a routine traffic stop

Camp County — February 19, 2025

A defective headlight violation led to a traffic stop by Deputy Brandon Morris on the night of February 15. Suspicious activity by the occupants resulted in a vehicle search.

A plastic bag containing approximately 30 grams of a white crystal-like substance believed to be methamphetamine was found on the ground near the vehicle. The driver, Teresa Kay Harmon, 25, admitted to throwing the illegal drugs out the car window before coming to a complete stop. Harmon was arrested and charged with a 2nd Degree Felony, Possession of a Controlled Substance greater than 4 grams but less than 200 grams and Tampering With Evidence.

A passenger in the vehicle received a citation for Open Container of Alcohol. Assisting Deputy Morris in the investigation and arrest were Deputy Randy Huggins, Pittsburg Police Sgt. Cameron Precise and Pittsburg Police Officer Kharlen Graham.
