A Cookville man remains in the Titus County Jail on a $1 million bond accused of killing his wife.
After receiving a dispatch call just before 6 p.m. June 1, 2025, Titus County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a Cookville residence in the 500 block on County Road 3130 regarding a possible homicide. Upon arrival, deputies located a deceased female victim who was later identified as Amy Denmon Allen, 54.
Deputies detained the victim’s husband, Michael Paul Allen, 52, at the scene. Following an interview conducted by the Titus County Criminal Investigation Division, Allen was arrested and charged with murder. The following day, June 2, Allen was arraigned and his bond was set.
