The Mount Pleasant/Titus County Chamber of Commerce has committed $25,000 to support small businesses in Mount Pleasant and Titus County.
These funds can be used to help pay certain utilities during these difficult economic times. In the first two weeks of the program, the Chamber has helped 28 businesses receive over $17,000 to help pay their utility bills. Please visit mtpleasanttx.com to apply for assistance.
The Mount Pleasant/Titus County Chamber of Commerce recognizes the great financial stress that the local small business community is experiencing. This program hopes to bridge the gap until additional funding can be obtained from the government or the Small Business Administration.
Through the application process, businesses will be able to identify and share with the Chamber their utility needs and the Chamber will make a best-faith effort, contingent upon available funds, to provide some financial assistance.
The Mount Pleasant /Titus County Chamber of Commerce will provide financial assistance to businesses for one or more of the following purposes:
Utility payments such as:
Gas
Water/Sewage
Electricity
Phone Service
Internet
In addition to funds committed by the Chamber, donations are also welcome from businesses and individuals who can contribute to this utility fund. A donation or sponsorship will allow local businesses to weather this economic storm. This program along with the support they receive through the federal stimulus plans will provide much-needed relief and stability to the community.
