Larry Eugene Pierson

Larry Eugene Pierson of Mt. Pleasant, Texas passed away at his residence on March 25, 2025.  He was born on December 17, 1946, in Palestine, Texas to William Calvin & Audrey Mae Pierson.

Larry’s career as a clinical medical technologist spanned many years, including 20 years as the Director of the Laboratory at Henderson Memorial Hospital and later worked at ETMC Tyler and ETMC Pittsburg. His hobbies included spending time with family and friends, tending to his yard and garden, raising cattle on his farm in Grapeland, traveling, and entertaining his grandson Declan. He was a member of Nevill’s Chapel Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Jan Pierson; daughter, Dana Duncan and husband Matt; daughter, Emily Boobar and husband Matt; grandchild, Declan Jordan Duncan; brothers, David Pierson, Dean Pierson and wife Alice; stepsons, Steve Martin, Jason Martin and wife Shana; step-grandchildren, Ryan, Nikki, Morgan, Kayleigh, Tenley, Jayce, & Sydney Martin.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William Calvin & Audrey Mae Pierson & his son, Jordan Bradford Pierson. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Chambers Home Health and Hospice for their dedication and care during Larry’s illness. A private service will be held at a later date.
